One of the world’s best ski stadiums with fully modern cross-country and biathlon facilities. Both sporting and commercial events can be organized summer and winter. The Birkebeineren Ski Stadium served as the Olympic arena for cross-country and biathlon events in 1994. The stadium also served as arena for cross-country skiing and biathlon events during Paralympics in March 1994.

The Birkebeineren Ski Stadium is the perfect starting point for trips into the mountains, and the start of a 450km network of cross-country trails. The regularly prepped tracks are suitable for both adults and children. The 5-km long floodlit trail is popular throughout the winter, and is lit until 22.00hrs every evening. The facility also offers playground areas for young kids to have a blast on skis. Special ski and biathlon events can be organized in the floodlit trails or in the Olympic trails.

Summer

During the summer, the stadium and trails are popular for walks, jogging, terrain bicycling, ball sports, etc. The trails are well prepped and the top covering consists of earth and grass. An asphalted rollerski track can be used for training and competitions during the summer. Spacious areas at the facility are also ideal for events such as outdoor concerts.

Biathlon
The Birkebeineren Ski Stadium offers a complete year-round biathlon facility. Here you can organize your own biathlon championships, usually without skis. The competition complete with selecting a team, a relay race and penalty rounds takes place on a section of the biathlon stadium. Everyone gets a chance to fire five rounds at Olympic targets, and the lead between the teams will usually fluctuate rapidly. This is an activity like no other, and the biathlon competitions are a great success every time. The biathlon stadium features 30 Olympic targets and an excellent sound system.

Skistua Kafe

Skistua Kafe is located at the Birkebeineren Ski Stadium between the cross-country and biathlon arenas. The charming café can be rented year-round for meals and parties for up to 40 persons. There are two changing rooms in the basement. Skistua Kafe is open on weekends during the winter and in connection with special events.

Parking

Parking at the Birkebeineren Ski Stadium is run by Europark. The parking fee pays for snow clearing and maintenance of the parking facilities. The price for day parking is NOK 40.-. Annual pass valid from 01.01. to 31.12 is for sale at Håkons Hall Sports Centre or here. Price NOK 600,-
