We are experiencing a large increase in our activity and event offer and are now looking for more extra help for our team. Here you get the opportunity to work with unique activities and magical events in our five Olympic arenas in Lillehammer. Now we are particularly looking for extra help for a versatile job Lillehammer Olympic bobsleigh & toboggan run. We want to hire the right person as soon as possible, so don't hesitate to get in touch and send us an application.

Tasks:

  • Practical tasks for both the tourism and operations departments.
  • Track work (icing and track preparation)
  • Car transport within the track areas
  • Other practical work
  • There may be opportunities to work with customer reception, ticketing and kiosk sales.

All functions and tasks will be given emergency training. Experience from practical work and tourist/service businesses is desirable. Working hours can be both daytime and evening, as well as weekends.

Lillehammer Olympic bobsleigh and toboggan run

This unique facility was completed in 1992 and has since been the arena for a number of large and small competitions in bobsleigh, skeleton and tobogganing. In addition, this is a very popular sight for the tourists who visit Lillehammer. The track itself is 1710 meters long and the fastest bobsleds achieve a speed of around 130 km/h. The tourists who visit the facility also have the opportunity to experience a trip with a bobsleigh, both in winter and summer. In the winter of 2024-25, there will be enormous activity in the facility with a number of large international events. Bobsleigh still has a small audience in Norway, but the events are very popular around the world and are broadcast on TV to millions of viewers.

Summer in the Olympic Park

It's finally summer and, as always, we're rolling with both bobsleigh and paintball in the Lillehammer Olympic bobsleigh and toboggan run. We also welcome you to Lysgårdsbakkene where you can experience a magical view of the Olympic city from the chairlift and visit our 936shop. Below you can read more about our summer activities.

PAINTBALL

Are you happy to be active and feel the tension rise?
In the forest north of Lillehammer, there is a 7500 mXNUMX paintball field that is perfect for groups that want a good dose of adrenaline and excitement! The course is part of Olympiaparken's bobsleigh and toboggan run near Hunderfossen. We supply all the equipment you need and our skilled instructors guide you through the game. The activity is well suited for stag parties, groups of friends and companies.

Speed ​​and excitement for those who want a real adrenaline rush!
Roller skating is the definitive must-do activity if you spend the summer in Lillehammer. This is an adrenaline-filled journey through the Nordics' only Olympic bobsleigh track. The track was built for the Olympic Winter Games in 1994 and every winter a number of international competitions in bobsleigh, sledding and skeleton are organized here. But now it's your turn to experience summer's answer to bobs - Get ready to feel the adrenaline rush through your body and smile from ear to ear! This is known as one of Norway's most action-packed summer activities, because here you will experience a full 3G pressure when the roller coaster is traveling at 100 km/h.  You will never forget this!

THE LIGHTHOUSE HILLS

Bring your friends and family to Lillehammer's finest view, at the top of the jumping hill!
From the bottom of the ski jump, you can take the chair lift to the top and visit one of the city's most popular viewpoints. From here you have a fantastic panoramic view of Lillehammer and Mjøsa. You decide for yourself whether you want to use the chair lift both up and down or whether you want to walk the 936 steps one of the ways. We also recommend visiting our 936 SHOP, which you will find at the bottom of the facility. Here you will find a selection of kiosk goods, ice cream, drinks, gifts and not least the popular Lillehammer jumpers!

Your role: As our new communications employee, you will play a key role in our communications team. You will have a main task within graphic productions for both tourism and large sports events. Your creativity and design skills will be essential in creating visual content that inspires and engages our audience. In addition, you will be an important piece in the communications department's creative processes and content production.

Tasks:

  • Create visual content for newsletters, websites, social media, print productions, presentations and advertisements, with an emphasis on graphic design.
  • Create profile and sales products that represent Olympiaparken's brand in a striking way.
  • Writing articles for newsletters, intranet and web in both Norwegian and English.
  • Contribute to the development and planning of Olympiaparken's content production.

Qualifications:

  • Higher education in graphic design or equivalent.
  • Creativity and ability to think new things!
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Good written skills in both Norwegian and English (and preferably several languages).
  • Experience with digital marketing and social media.
  • Great work capacity and ability to handle several projects at the same time.

ALL OF NORWAY'S HOCKEY FEST!

We are ready for a new hockey party and are looking forward to the highlight of the season in Norwegian ice hockey! In keeping with tradition, this time it is also Storhamar and Lillehammer who will fight for the victory in Håkon's hall. There will be both men's and women's matches, a party, entertainment, catering and activities for both children and adults.

We welcome all of hockey Norway to the hockey party in Lillehammer!

Ticket sales for this year's hockey party open on 14 June at 12:00. If you buy the tickets in June, you save NOK 100 per ticket. The best places go first, so here you have to be early!

On 31 May, we will again be ready to receive guests at our summer camping at the Birkebeineren ski stadium. In the summer, the Olympic ski stadium is transformed into a pleasant and family-friendly campsite. Here you live literally ON the finish line, and with a short distance to the city, sights and nature, this is a perfect campsite for you who are on holiday in Lillehammer.

You can buy the space tickets easily here on our website 24/7. With a pre-purchased ticket, you can drive directly to your zone, find an available seat and enjoy your stay immediately. We offer large areas for caravans, mobile homes and tents. In the area you will also find toilets, showers and an emptying station. The campsite is only 5 minutes from the center of Lillehammer.

26.-28. January 2024

This winter there are a record number of events taking place in the Lillehammer Olympic bobsleigh and toboggan run. Here, there will be high speed and extreme experiences for both performers and audience. The highlight of the winter is the World Cup in bobsled & skeleton, which will be held on 26-28 January. Here we also arrange a magical experience for the public with activities and catering. Everything in collaboration with the local business community in Lillehammer and Øyer.

You are welcome to be an spectator at all the events throughout the winter, but the highlight will be when the World Cup in bobsleigh and skeleton breaks loose on 26 - 28 January 2023. It will be a large and nice public area, with a big screen, live music on stage , activities for the children and a café. Our closest neighbor and general partner, Hunderfossen Winter Park, brings princesses and trolls to create magic in our very own fairy forest!

The Lillehammer Olympic bobsleigh and toboggan run stretches a total of 1710 meters through the pine forest south of Hunderfossen Winterpark. Use the public parking on the south side of the arena and enter via the public entrance nearby. In the inner area at the bottom of the track you will find the activities, kiosk, big screen and entertainment. There are toilets at the entrance. The VIP tent is located at curve 13 and has its own toilets. You are welcome to take the trip all the way to the top via the public path, which is marked with a yellow line on the map.

Student prank


On Saturday 27 January, all students are invited to Studentsprell during the World Cup in Bob & Skeleton, where you will have a separate area with fire pans, haystacks and lots of fun.

There will be competitions, cool prizes, student prizes in the kiosk and not least everyone gets an entrance ticket to the Bob Afterparty at the Brenneriet in the evening (20+)!

Student bus


Two shuttle buses will be set up from Lillehammer Skysstasjon at 10:00 and 10:20 which stop at Lillehammer vgs nord (Smestad) and Storhove. The buses return again at 15:00 and 15:20. There is a first-come, first-served principle for places on the bus, so be on time!

If you wish to drive, there will be parking spaces in the area, and you will still receive the same student benefits.

Join us and create a magical atmosphere at a World Cup in bobsleigh and skeleton (which was last held in 1999) and let's show what Lillehammer is good for!

Schools and Kindergardens


We invite all schools and kindergartens in Øyer, Lillehammer and Gausdal to the World Cup in bobsleigh and skeleton. The kids will have the opportunity to have a pleasant excursion to experience a completely unique sport in the Nordic region's only bobsleigh track. We will arrange for activities and lit bonfires in the area so that the packed lunch can be enjoyed along the way.

Winter activities 2023-2024


On Saturday 9 December, we are starting the first winter activities in Olympiaparken this season. Then we will open both tobogganing in Lillehammer Snøpark and tobogganing for guests in the toboggan run. The cross-country trails have already been ready for a while, but in December we are finally starting to offer cocoa and waffles at the Målhuset ski café at the Birkebeineren ski stadium.

During Christmas, the winter holidays and Easter, we will have extended opening hours for several of our activities. Please note that bobsleigh activities have a very short season this year due to the large amount of sporting activity in the bobsleigh track. Therefore, it is only possible to bobsled for guests in December this season.

The Zuccarello All Star Game is coming to Håkon's hall

Zuccarello All Star Game 2024


16.-17. August 2024

Finally, we can release the big news that we will organize the Zuccarello All Star Game in Håkon's hall together with Skabo management and Mats Zuccarello. The Zuccarello All Star Game turns 10 years old, and this will be celebrated with all of Hockey-Norway! Together, Mats Zuccarello and all ten clubs in the EHL will organize a unique event that has never before been carried out in a Norwegian sports context. This collaboration will create a commitment that will give Norwegian ice hockey fans the opportunity to vote for their own EHL All Star Team consisting of the best players and profiles from the various clubs. 10 years after the first edition of the "Zuccarello All Star Game" and 30 years after the Winter Olympics on home ground, it has been decided that Lillehammer will host this extraordinary hockey festival. It will be a unique 2-day program that will fill Håkons Hall with over 10 fans on both days. Together, all of Hockey Norway will create an unforgettable folk festival!
