The Olympic Park has received corona support
On Friday 19 March 2021 came the phone call we have been waiting for a long time. The government has allocated NOK 10 million to the Olympic Park as a one-time grant due to our financial loss as a result of the pandemic.
Ever since the closure in March 2020, the Olympic Park has suffered major financial losses as a result of the corona pandemic. We applied for support for the first time in the summer of 2020, but were not granted support as we are municipally owned.
Abid Raja to NRK:
- The park is of great national importance and interest. It is due to the very special position they hold that the ministry exceptionally grants this one-off grant. As they are publicly owned, this has been a very difficult nut to crack legally, says Raja.
We would like to thank the government and everyone who has worked to achieve this. This has been incredibly important for the future of the Olympic Park.
Now we look ahead and look forward to more magical moments in the Olympic Park!
Join and create history!
For the World Cup in snow sports for pair athletes, which will be held in Lillehammer and Hafjell in February 2021, the world's best in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon and snowboarding will gather for the first time for a joint world championship. Now we are looking for volunteers who want to be part of creating history!
Lillehammer is no stranger to arranging major sporting events. The city has hosted the 1994 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, the 2016 Youth Olympics as well as several X-games, the World Para Snow Sports and the FIS World Cup.
The exercises in cross-country skiing and biathlon will be held at Lillehammer, more specifically the Birkebeineren ski stadium, while the exercises for alpine and snowboarding will take place 15 km away, in Hafjell.
A total of 82 medals will be awarded during the two-week competition. 31 medals will be awarded in alpine skiing, 18 in biathlon, 20 in cross-country skiing and 13 in snowboarding.
The biggest stars from the four sports, including Paralympic champions and world champions, will compete for gold at Lillehammer 2021. A total of around 750 participants are expected, this includes 200 Nordic skiers, 120 alpinists and 60 snowboarders.

Experience digital concerts and cultural events
Change in society requires change in opportunities. That is why Olympiaparken has teamed up with Total Production As and Lydmakeriet to create a professional arena for digital concerts and cultural events through the Digital Inland scene. The stage is ready in Håkons Hall and we are already well underway with the first productions! Here, there is room mostly for music, dance, art and other cultural activities that are suitable on a stage.
During Easter, both concerts and an Easter service were streamed. We encourage everyone to follow Digital scene inland on Facebook to see the upcoming digital events. Passover concerts are broadcast daily www.totenstream.no while the Easter worship service is posted on facebook.
Do you want to perform on the Digital Scene Inland?
Then we look forward to hearing from you!

DRIVE-IN KINO in Håkons hall
At Easter, Lillehammer cinema moves into Håkons hall with its DRIVE-IN KINO!
We are in a time where you have to be creative and see opportunities if you want to get somewhere further. The measures to limit the infection of the corona virus have meant that large parts of the Olympic Park's activity offerings are closed and thus one must open up new ideas. That's why Lillehammer cinema, Total Production and Olympiaparken have joined forces to create a new and exciting offering for Lillehammer's population.
Wednesday April 8th is the premiere of the unique drive-in movie theater in Håkons hall! We open the gate and let you and the family drive the car all the way into the hall, park in front of the cinema screen and connect the radio to the cinema! Everything is arranged so that all considerations of fire, escape routes and infection are taken care of and thus can offer a safe and fun offer for everyone!
There will be three performances per day, which will run throughout Easter (April 8 - April 12)
The performances will be set at the following times:
15.00 XNUMX pm
18.00 XNUMX pm
21.00 XNUMX pm
Tickets for the shows and more information will be available shortly www.slillehammerkino.no
Welcome!
Landmark Lillehammer 2020 is canceled
On Thursday, March 12, Lillehammer Olympiapark AS decided to cancel Landstreff Lillehammer 1-3. May 2020 in order to limit the spread of the coronavirus. We have chosen to make an early decision in order to give the Russians plenty of time to handle the cancellation in the best possible way. This will, among other things, allow for cancellation of hotels, travel and other costs that are outside the organizer's responsibility. Costs associated with festival passes and other services directly related to Landstreff Lillehammer will be reimbursed to all Russians. The refund will be made automatically within a few days via our ticket supplier Ticketmaster. Tickets and services that may be resold will not be refunded to the new owner.
We have worked closely with artists, suppliers and partners to find a financial deal that we can all live with in this situation. Here, all parties have shown understanding and flexibility in a demanding situation. This was crucial in order to guarantee the Russian full refund. We thank all artists, suppliers and partners for putting the health of Russia ahead of the economy and their own needs.
We urge the 2020 Russian to take this situation seriously and hope for understanding that the event will unfortunately have to be canceled. In the future, we will focus on the Landreffet in 2021, and more information will be available in the spring.
We all wish Russ a nice Russian celebration, although not everything became as we hoped for in 2020.
