World Cup to the Olympic Park

Lillehammer Olympiapark AS has been awarded the World Cup in Nordic branches in December 2019 of the Norwegian Ski Federation. This means that there will be World Cup events in cross-country, combined and jump for ladies 6. to 8. December both at Birkebeineren Ski Stadium and in Lysgårdsbakkene.

- For the Lillehammer region, it is very important that we carry out the events and are on the international calendar in these branches as well. This is an important and good decision for the tourism industry and premature facilitation for local sports, says Per Olav Andersen in the Olympic Park.

In addition, Lillehammer Olympiapark AS has been awarded the Continental Cup in hopes of plastic in Lysgårdsbakkene in September.

- For Lillehammer Olympiapark AS, it is important that our facilities are at all times relevant and are used both for the largest international events and broad sports and recreation. We have therefore worked hard to find an economically sustainable model for the events. During the planning phase, we have received good support from the local business community who see the value of the events at Lillehammer, says Andersen.

We look forward to offering great competitions in both September and December and welcome the whole city to a party in the Olympic Park!

We are getting ready for the summer!

After a wonderful winter in Lillehammer Olympic Bob and Akebane it is now time to look towards the summer. The facility is now closed to tourists and prepared for the summer season, but already in the first weekend in May you can experience speed and excitement with wheelbob. Opening hours for the summer can be found here.

Christmas concert with Kurt Nilsen 8. December 2018

Today we have talked to Kurt, and he says he is looking forward to this year's Christmas concert in Håkon Hall! We are also looking forward to recreating the mood of last year and calling Christmas together with Kurt.

Since the first Christmas concert in 2010, Kurt Nilsen has sold concert venues across the country. The concert has become a self-written highlight in the advent of many. The folk-love musician brings some of Norway's best musicians and will create a special entrance to the Christmas celebrations for the audience. Kurt Nilsen's album "Have Yourself A Merry Little Chistmas" was released in 2010 and is referred to as a modern classic. The album has become a so-called audience favorite and has streamed over 76 million times. Platens repertoire is the starting point for the concert's worthy and beautiful Christmas atmosphere.
