Successful folk party!

It was a great winter weekend at Lillehammer and as a new organizer of the World Cup we have to thank athletes, leaders, partners and our wonderful volunteers who have created a wonderful setting at all the events. Both in the sun on Saturday and snow on Sunday. Just like outdoor sports should be. We have enjoyed the task, learned a lot and are already developing our events further. We are now looking forward to para-WC in cross-country skiing and biathlon this and next week and we are ready to welcome both men and women jumpers to Raw Air in Lysgårdsbakken 9. and 10. March.

A big thank you from all of us at Lillehammer Olympiapark AS

The first world ski race of the combined girls of Lillehammer!

In connection with the Nordic weekend at Lillehammer 2020, it will be the first world cup of the time for the combined girls. There was no automaticity that it became a world cup weekend in the Nordic branches in December 2020 after cross-country was taken off the schedule before the holiday.

The season 2020-2021, Lillehammer, as the only destination in addition to the organizers of the World Cup in Oberstdorf, will arrange races at the top level for jumps (men and women), cross country (men and women) and combined (men and women).

Norway's toughest handball show and audience record

Saturday 28. September enters the history book for both the Olympic Park and Handball Norway. This became the story of the "little" Elverum Handball that invited all of Norway to battle against the star team Paris Saint-Germain, and at the same time promised that this would be the largest and toughest handball show ever organized in Norway. With Håkons Hall as the arena and a large number of partners, this would quickly prove to be of great interest. The tickets were torn down and the previous audience record from the 11 200 crowd was knocked down several days before the match. The stands were then expanded and even more tickets were released. When the day finally came, there was no doubt that this would be both a record and a fantastic show. The entire 12 377 audience redeemed their tickets at Håkons Hall this evening and the show could begin. And show it was! Elverum proved to be able to bite well and give PSG proper resistance. The crowd was tremendous and the excitement was really touching! Even though Elverum did not bring home the victory this rainy September evening, we can say that "little" Elverum did something amazing! If you weren't an Elverum fan before this match, you probably got it after experiencing this!

This was magical!

New audience record in Håkons Hall

It will be a full house when Elverum Handball meets PSG in Håkons Hall on 28 September. On Friday afternoon, we passed the previous audience record of 11 spectators. The previous record has been set since 200 when the handball girls won over France after four extra rounds. We are looking at the possibilities of utilizing the entire hall and creating even more audience seats for the occasion. We hope to be able to accommodate as many as 1999 spectators.

So if you want to secure one of the last tickets, you should be quick. You buy tickets in the Elverum Handball app.

New logo and profile

The time has come when we now launch our new profile.
A brand new logo and graphic profile will preserve both the company's history and give a new and modern expression for the future.
There is an incredible amount of new and exciting things happening in the Olympic Park and we are looking forward to getting a modern look that will be visible on all our surfaces. For us, the new logo symbolizes history, energy and faith in the future.

Logo is of course inspired by both Olympic symbols and Olympic colors. The Olympic Park has been and is an important arena for many major events, but just as much an arena for play and joy. We think our new profile reflects our versatility.

New logo and profile enter into force 21. August 2019 and will gradually be replaced on different surfaces. First and foremost, you will see the changes on our websites and social media. Logo and profile were designed by Daniel Nordby, Digital Marketer at the Olympic Park.

There will be Russian hits in 2020!

Following numerous inquiries from parents, Russians, local businesses and authorities, Lillehammer Olympiapark has reassessed the decision to close down the Landstreff Lillehammer.

A request for a responsible Russian hit with a high focus on Russian security has been unambiguous in the inquiries. Lillehammer Olympiapark has therefore made a complete turnaround, renegotiated agreements, reduced costs and will, in the time leading up to the Russian meeting in 2020, continue working with new and old partners to create a fantastic venue for the festival.

Ticket prices will also be significantly reduced for Russians and, among other things, VIP tickets will not be sold. This is so that as many people as possible will have the opportunity to participate, at the same time as we want to create as few differences as possible among the Russians. Sales teams will be wound up and thus tickets will only be sold via Ticketmaster.no. As a serious player in the market, Landstreff Lillehammer should not be an intrusive player for the Russians, who are daily exposed to personal inquiries and buying pressure.

On stage, the Russians will be able to experience some of Norway's largest artists within different genres and we will further develop the activities offered during the day.

We look forward to new times for Landstreff Lillehammer and look forward to continuing to make a safe, fun and memorable party for the Russians!

World Cup to the Olympic Park

Lillehammer Olympiapark AS has been awarded the World Cup in Nordic branches in December 2019 of the Norwegian Ski Federation. This means that there will be World Cup events in cross-country, combined and jump for ladies 6. to 8. December both at Birkebeineren Ski Stadium and in Lysgårdsbakkene.

- For the Lillehammer region, it is very important that we carry out the events and are on the international calendar in these branches as well. This is an important and good decision for the tourism industry and premature facilitation for local sports, says Per Olav Andersen in the Olympic Park.

In addition, Lillehammer Olympiapark AS has been awarded the Continental Cup in hopes of plastic in Lysgårdsbakkene in September.

- For Lillehammer Olympiapark AS, it is important that our facilities are at all times relevant and are used both for the largest international events and broad sports and recreation. We have therefore worked hard to find an economically sustainable model for the events. During the planning phase, we have received good support from the local business community who see the value of the events at Lillehammer, says Andersen.

We look forward to offering great competitions in both September and December and welcome the whole city to a party in the Olympic Park!
